Over one million words have been translated in the three short months since March 24th, the day when Digital October and ABBYY Language Services launched their “Let’s Translate Coursera” project, which allows anyone who’s interested to pitch in and help translate the best courses available in the field of online education.
Following the release of mobile apps designed to keep users up-to-date on the Digital October Center’s special events and featured guests, the Center is proud to present a mobile version of its main website. The mobile site will give you access to the rest of our information – on any device and at any time.
On March 31st and April 1st, Coursera.org, the world’s largest platform for free online education, gathered its partners in London. The press took notice of this event, as well: BBC correspondent Sean Coughlan took a look at the first results of Coursera’s international Learning Hubs programs and talked to the people who organize these onsite seminars and practicums, which supplement the online courses in Paris, Beijing, London, and Moscow.
